Raychel's 15th Birthday's coming up!

I was five months pregnant when I received my High School Diploma and an Honorable Mention Award for my grades! My dreams were put on hold by reality and lack of support from my family. I lived with the father of my daughter for 2 years. After leaving him I realized that was the best decision for me and the road to a better future for my daughter. I've been single mother since then. I'm REALLY blessed that God gave me such a smart and sensitive girl as a daughter. She has had to pass through a lot of tough times at such an early age, due to taking over of some house duties in order to help me because my long working hours,  me being absent sometimes, and because of her father's death when she was 8 years old. Despite of that, she's always been responsible. She has been great with school and has not given me any headaches...so far!
She has helped me in so many ways. There have been so many times that I have asked myself “Where would I have been if it wasn't for her?” She has brought balance into my life and! She's always been my motivation!

She turns 15th within couple of days! As you should know the 15th birthday is a pretty big deal for a girl in the Latin culture. It's a celebration of budding womanhood! The celebration is a way to acknowledge that a young woman has reached sexual maturity and thus is of a marriageable age. (Traditionally speaking of course) As a mother, I can tell you that does not sound promising but the truth is that they daughters at 15 do become a woman. My daughter is not a party girl (talking in present) so, I’ve decided to use my photography skills and capture that moment in pictures. I've bought her a really pretty dress to wear for her photo shoot. I can’t keep the dress away from her she wants to wear it all the time. Ha..ha! I'm happy that I have the opportunity to do something special instead spend money on an expensive "fiesta" or a trip...money that I don't have any way! I always say that photos are the best way to keep memories alive! And that's what I'm planning to do.
PS: You can do so too by contacting me!! (Winking at you)
I'm thinking that a traditional photo shoot at my studio first and then maybe at an outdoor location. Am I posting the pictures here??, OF COURSE, I will do!! STAY TUNED!
