Delilah's 100th Day Birthday

Ellen and Sam D'Marco celebrated their beautiful daughter's first 100 days of life:  By taking pictures of such a memorable occasion, which is an important Korean tradition.  In Korea, on the 100th day after a child's birth, a feast is prepared and the family has a small celebration for the baby's health and the mother's recovery from delivery.  In the past, due to lack of medical information, Korea's seasonal temperature differences, and many childhood related diseases, the death rate for children was extremely high. Many children died before their first birthday.  That is why in Korean culture, Baek-il is a really important celebration.  The number 100 has an intrinsic meaning of maturity and perfection, signifying a baby's passage through a perfect period safely as a human being.  People bring presents, congratulatory statements and well wishes for the baby's health and blessing.
